Last night was history in more ways than one. The Panterettes put up the most convincing win in 5A girls basketball history by defeating Dekaney 69-31.
“I love this team,” she said. “It’s going to kill me for these four seniors to move on. I’m excited about what’s coming back. I’m just impressed that they worked hard and they showed strength and character and they make good grades in the classroom and they take care of business and they make good choices.”
It was all Duncanville in a 69-31 win over Dekaney in the UIL Class 5A girls’ basketball state championship on Saturday at the Frank Erwin Center on the campus of the University of Texas in Austin.
