Friday the Panthers and Pantherettes take on the Cedar Hill Longhorns for another district game. The boys are coming into the game with a record of (16-2) and the Pantherettes are (19-0). Both teams are highly ranked in the state in 5A. The boys are ranked number five and the girls are ranked number one according to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.

Duncanville has become a powerhouse for basketball with ten state championships between the boys and the girls. The Pantherettes are led by head coach Cathy Self-Morgan who has won over 900 games and five state championships during her coaching career. Former Marcus Head coach Danny Henderson has a current record of (685-161) and four state championships. This is his first year at Duncanville after winning MaxPreps National Head Coach of the Year in 2012 and many other awards over his career.

Both teams take on Cedar Hill at Cedar Hill High School on Friday. The girls play at 6:00 and the boys play at 7:30. Cedar Hill has a tradition of championships as well so this could provide some good basketball for fans on both sides of the gym.
