Pantherettes basketball program in running for best national program, cast your vote

The Pantherettes basketball program is in the running for best high school program as voted by USA Today. To vote for them as the top program you can go here and vote.

The Pantherettes had a 105-game streak snapped in last season’s 5A state championship game under the direction of Coach Cathy Self Morgan. And that streak wasn’t even the best in school history: Duncanville had a string of 134 wins end in 1991 under late head coach Sandra Meadows. That is the nation’s third-longest winning streak, according to the National Federation of State High School Associations. The school continues to put out top talent such as Ariel Atkins, who was considered one of the top recruits in the nation last season and is now excelling at The University of Texas. The program’s overall win total is 299-43.

The Pantherettes have produced top talent in both college and the NBA. Of These notable players includes Tiffany Jackson, Tamika Catchings,Empress Davenport, Ariel Atkins and Tasia Foman.

These are just a few of the many notable achievements and ladies stars that are products of the Pantherettes teams in over the years.
