A teacher appreciation luncheon hosted by student council will be held tomorrow during 6th block.

“The teacher luncheon is just one of the small ways student council holds to honor the staff and everything they do for us.” senior Elizabeth Tejada said.

Baked Potatoes will be the main course served at the luncheon along with all toppings that would commonly accompany potatoes.

“Teachers will be able to enjoy each others presence and stuff their taters,” junior Damian McElwee said, “it’s important to show that we don’t only care about students but also care for faculty.”

Student council says that it’s important to do things for staff to that they’re appreciated, even if it’s just by giving them a lunch. The group feels like the teachers need to know how their students value them.

“Basically we give back to the teachers by serving them a lunch,” McElwee said. “It’s something to say hey we appreciate what you do.”
