Students place in TAFE state contest.

Duncanville High School’s chapter of the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) sent 18 students to the state competition in Houston.

Ten students won blue ribbons, and one student, Dion Jamerson, qualified for the national competition in Boston this summer with his creative lecture entry.

The conference gave students the opportunity to meet others from around the state with the same interests, gain an understanding of what it takes to be a successful college student, and learn the skills necessary for becoming a successful educator.
