It was a cool night with a clean sunset as the Panthers took on Skyline for their homecoming game. The Panthers gave Coach Reginald Samples his first big win against his former team Skyline 45-7.

“It was just another game for me,” Samples said. “It was great to get the win.”

Samples is closing in on becoming the winningest black coach in UIL history but he said this is not what he looks for.

“It is all about these kids I get to coach,” Samples said. “I have had the honor of coaching some great kids both here and at Skyline.”

Keilon Elder had a big night against skyline posting 4 touchdowns and nearing 300 yards rushing. He said it was great to work with his teammates and get this big win.

“We work together as a team and that is what makes the difference in the long run,” Elder said.
