The Hunger Games trilogy is the latest talk of the year, mainly because of the highly anticipated movie coming out based on the first book, bumping the Twilight Saga out of the spotlight. The Hunger Games trilogy consists of The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay written by Suzanne Collins. The Hunger Games is about a world that is split into 12 different districts. Annually the Capitol hosts the Hunger Games which is where twenty-four kids, two from each district aged from 12-18 years old, are randomly chosen to compete in a battle to the death in order to win the victor title for their district. Only one can win.

The Hunger Games has mainly been popular among teenagers and young adults because there is mild violence. Excitement has been built up by the cast as the movie release date came closer. The cast has done much promotional work such as The Hunger Games tour, which featured some of the actors of the movie such as Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth at malls across the United States of America answering Q&As and signing autographs.
