‘Hunger Games’ set to showcase library open house night

“The movie is just around the corner and the book was already popular at this point,” librarian Jeni Tahaney said.”We just wanted to do something fun for Open House and this works great.”
Students and parents are invited to attend the event scheduled for 6:30 in the library. Tahaney said they will be several options for those attending the event.
“We are going to have a jeopardy game and some arts and crafts that go with the book and movie,” Tahaney said. “There will also be a whole lot more.”
Tahaney said that Barnes and Noble will be coming over as well to offer those in attendance items as well.
“They will be here to sell stuff from the series,” Tahaney said. “They will give away things from the movie.”
The librarians expect positive feedback from this event.
“We hope they come out and see that the activities are fun,” Tahaney said. “Also that they pick up the book if they have never read it it yet.”
