After defeating Arlington Sam Houston on a shootout Friday evening. The Panther soccer team returned to the championship game on Saturday against Midlothian.
The game remained tied at zero until the last of the game when Senior Luis Benavides scored a goal putting the Panthers ahead. They ended the game with a 1-0 win giving them the championship for the first time since 2008. This is the second tournament championship the team has won after winning the Dripping Springs tournament last weekend.
The team will be back at home on Tuesday night to face Richland at Old Panther Field. Look for story and more photos coming soon.
