    High Hats get ‘Glam’ for annual Spring Show Friday, Saturday

    High Hats are finalizing their upcoming Spring Show entitled “Let’s Get Glam”. The show set to showcase in Alexander Auditorium consists of songs that from many angles including “Lipgloss”, “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend”, “Diva” and “Thrift Shop”.

    “Get ready to experience the glamorous lifestyle of the High Hats. As a new High Hat lieutenant, I feel honored to have the opportunity to show the school and the community what I have to bring to this team,” junior Lieutenant Cid’ni Wilkerson said.
    “The girls are amazing and I promise you won’t be disappointed.”

    The annual spring show is in its 31st year and allow the audience to see a mix of lyrical, jazz, tap, novelty, and hip hop from various High Hat members April 19 & 20 at 7:30 pm.

    “I’m so excited for this Spring Show. It’s different from all the other Spring shows I’ve been in,” senior Lieutenant Ashleigh Martin said. “The costumes are great and the choreography is amazing. I’m sure this year will be my favorite.”
    Spring Show is a huge production that involves a lot of time, effort, and prior dedication. The High Hats have been working on the dances featured in the show for about 3 months.

    “The show is very fashionable but it is an emotional experience for all of the High Hats. It signifies the end of a great year, yet a new beginning,” junior Lieutenant Cameryn Scott said.

    Spring show will be held on April 19 and 20 in Alexander Auditorium. Tickets are on sale for $5 from any High Hat or $6 at the door. There will also be a silent auction held in the foyer of the auditorium.

    “This year’s show will be filled with entertainment and will be a fun show where you are going to want to get up and dance with them,” director Kristi Beaty said.

    Tickets for the show can be pre-purchased for $5.00 and available from any High Hats or $6.00 at the door.
