Saturday evening, the very much-anticipated tour “The House Party Tour” finally made its way to the Dallas, TX date. The solid line up consisted of three well known bands in the post-hardcore scene: All Time Low, Pierce the Veil, and A Day To Remember, and one new band trying to make it big in the scene known as: The Wonder Years.
The excitement could be felt from the lines. A little rain didn’t stop from bringing the crowd. Due to the scattered thunderstorms, the venue was switched from the Quick Trip Park to the Verizon Theater next door. It was a last minute thing, but all four sets were well put up
One of my most memorable moments, in my opinion, was when A Day To Remember played one of their old songs called “You Had Me At Hello” one of their more soft, melodic pieces. The energy felt throughout the venue was radiated as everyone put their hands up, waving them side-to-side.
Some had their phones lit and others had their lighters out to go along. It was an unbelievable sight. Everyone knew the words and it felt as if all who were there connected.
