Varsity soccer girls get ready for district season

This past weekend the Duncanville Varsity girls soccer team participated in a tournament. The Varsity girls played in the Mansfield tournament and played to be third in their bracket.

The Varsity girls played four teams and one of the teams played are in their district. The first game they played was on Thursday against Weatherford and they tied the game 0-0. The next day they played their district opponent Mansfield and had a loss of 2-0. Mansfield earned a penalty kick and got both goals in the second half. The girls finished their night off with another game against Fossil Ridge. The girls again left the game with a tie of 0-0. Saturday morning the girls played their final game against Harker Heights and won 2-0. The goals were scored by juniors Destiny Polk and Paiton Maples.

The girls play in their upcoming tournament this weekend, The Duncanville Classic. Hoping to recover from last years loss in the first game against Molina. They play their first game Thursday against Thomas Jefferson.
