This past Friday, the games against Grand Prairie for the Duncanville Soccer Varsity boys and girls was rescheduled to be played the following day. The varsity girls played Saturday evening at 1:00 P.M. and the varsity boys followed right after playing at 3:00 P.M. Both teams took home the win, striving for the playoffs.

The Varsity girls were down 1-0 in the first half, but redeemed themselves and left the game winning 2-1. The first goal was scored by freshman Corine Daniels, and to follow the second and winning goal was scored by sophomore Aliyah Mora. The girls kept it together in the second half and won as a team.

The Varsity boys beat the Gophers 1-0 and came back from the loss of last year from losing to the Gophers. The goal was scored in the first half by senior and leading scorer Christopher Escalera. Once they scored, it was a tough battle to keep the score 1-0, the Gophers did not leave the game without a fight. But, the Panthers take the win and are at an undefeated district season striving to be district champs.

The Varsity teams play again tonight, but due to the weather conditions, it is undecided if the game will continue or to be rescheduled for a different day. They will play Mansfield High School, the girls at 6:00 P.M. and the boys at 8:00 P.M.
