Because of STAAR testing, the lunch schedule will be altered Monday March 31 and Tuesday April 1. Below is some information for teachers, parents and students about the alterations being made to accommodate testing.

Monday: English 1 STAAR EOC (All Students taking English 1…WEST Cafeteria ONLY)
· Students will be escorted by class in WAVES beginning at 10:18.
· Teachers will continue to test until they are notified by Admin to break for lunch.
· Per Nutrition Services and USDA, students must go to the cafeteria to enter in their code for lunches and have some “choice” in their lunch.
· Those that bring their lunches will remain in the testing room with Test Administrator and my begin eating.
· Students will return with their “grab and go” lunch and will eat in the testing room.
· Test Administrators will be relieved for a 30 minute lunch. It may be early or it may be late. We will have a snack/coffee/water cart for Test Administrators. So teachers may want to bring their lunch and eat with their students as well. But again you will get a break.
· It will take all 4 lunches to escort students to the cafeteria and it may spill over into an “E” lunch depending on time. But once your testing room has completed their lunch you will resume testing. Stop and Start time must be documented.
· Announcements will be made tomorrow and Friday. Signs have been posted in both Cafeterias. Teachers will announce in class. And we are making a call and email home to parents.
Tuesday: English 2 STAAR EOC (All Students taking English 2 and student/teachers assigned to EAST Cafeteria)
· WEST CAMPUS will be on a normal lunch schedule.
· Non-Testers will have an alternate lunch schedule and will eat during A, B, and C lunches ONLY.
· We will begin escorting Testing Rooms by WAVES (6 room at a time) to lunch at the beginning of “D” lunch. @ 11: 50 once the cafeteria is clear of all non-testers.
· Teachers will continue to test until they are notified by Admin to break for lunch.

· In an effort to communicate to students and parents and to encourage students to bring their lunch and drink; announcements will be made tomorrow and Friday. Signs have been posted in both Cafeterias. Teachers will announce in class, and we are making a call and email home to parents.
