Sunny and hot. That’s usually the Texas weather for the State Fair. But mother nature did a complete 360 on Monday; it was cold and cloudy. I believe I even felt a raindrop hit my head. But nevertheless it was still enjoyable, if not one of the best days to go to the fair, as long as you were bundled up. The food of course was fantastic. I ate.. A lot! The most legendary food choice was the turkey leg which never disappoints. I also sampled cotton candy as well as lots and lots of fried food.  The best of that type was the fried Oreos; of course you can make them at home, but the irreplaceable atmosphere of the State Fair almost makes them taste better. Though the food was outstanding, the rides were the most memorable because I rode with my brother, even though he was afraid. He still got out there and made the best of them with me. Despite the less than fun weather, the laughs, food, and rides my family shared were something I wouldn’t trade for the world.
