Saturday the band and high hats traveled to Memorial Stadium in Mesquite to compete in area and left with a spot in the state marching contest. Only four of the 24 teams competing in area advanced. Duncanville tied Coppell for first to secure their chance for the state championship.

The band will take the field of the Alamodome in San Antonio Tuesday, November 4th. There will be 37 bands competing at State and only 10 will make it to finals. Prelims begins at 7:30 AM. Finals begin at 8:30 PM.
