On February 7 at 7:30, Duncanville High School is hosting the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s On the GO series.

“I am very excited to see my former trumpet teacher and others perform in our auditorium,” Wind Ensemble director Jeff King said. “This is a great entertainment program for everyone, and we hope they enjoy attending formal concerts like these.”

The DSO will be performing in the Shine Hall and showcasing songs from West Side Story (a modern play based off of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet) and other popular pieces.

“Scott Wazel, the bassoonist and personal manager of the symphony, contacted me about six months ago about the possibility of having the DSO perform here.” King added. “Around Christmas they confirmed that this concert would be happening.”

Admission for the concert is $9 for students and $19 for adults. Tickets can be bought at www.mydso.com or by calling 214.TIX.4DSO.
