Tumblr is an app that appeals to all people and their interests which is why it’s so popular. It can be used for multiple ways that fit your interests.Tumblr isn’t like other social media apps where it’s based on followers or getting connected with others. The main purpose for this app is expressing yourself and emotions. You can upload pictures, videos, stories, music etc. all in one place. It’s an outlet for some people and their thoughts.  It can be a place to share ideas and also get new ideas from others. Some blogs are dedicated real world problems, others are more personal problem and some are just of things people enjoy or the aesthetic they like. The best part about this app is that no one even has to know who you are if you don’t want them to. This gives you complete privacy while also being able to express yourself freely if you want.

This app is also very customizable. As the user ,this allows you to showcase your personality through your blog. Everything about the app and your blog revolves around what you like. The controller of the blog can  also create multiple blogs with different focal points so you don’t have one random blog filled with all the things you like.You can post freely without worrying what others with think and you can also find people with the same interests as you online.

All of these characteristics of this app are what make it so popular and not just to younger users.It gives the user complete control over what they want to see and what they don’t. It also exposes them to new things such as music, styles, new, etc. It’s great for letting out your feelings or just to occupy some time. It’s one of my favorite apps to use when i want to read poems, find new outfit ideas, and also inspiration for photos.
