Journalism UIL team wins Highest Placing Team at Legacy meet

The winning team consist of Abigail Padgett, Allie Peregory, Tijhan Anderson, Julio Munoz and Juan Mercado.The Journalism UIL team competed in the Mansfield Legacy Invitational meet today finishing as the highest placing team. The team compiled a total of 57 points in the meet. There were over 15 journalism teams represented at the meet. Individual placings included: Allie Peregory, 1st place Feature Writing, 2nd place News Writing and 3rd place headline writing; Tijhan Anderson 6th place News Writing, Juan Mercado 5th place Editorial Writing and Julio Munoz 3rd place Editorial Writing. Also competing with the team as an alternate was Abigail Padgett.
