Panthers silence naysayers With Dominant Win vs Cadets

September 17, 2019

(3) Ja’Quiden Jackson runs for a touchdown.

The crowd was packed, full of people who really wanted to see if Duncanville was the real deal, and in this showdown of two nationally-ranked teams, Duncanville took charge in the third quarter to pull away with a 35-14 win over St. John’s College (DC) Saturday night.

Ja’Quinden Jackson, the four-star Texas pledge, led the Duncanville (3-0) offense with 193 yards passing, 74 yards rushing and three total touchdowns in the win. Running back Trysten Smith added 119 yards on the ground and two scores of his own.

Duncanville led at the half 14-7 but gave up an opening drive touchdown, but on the ensuing drive, Jackson found Roderick Daniels on a swing pass for the duo’s second touchdown of the night. From there, Duncanville would force a fumble, two turnovers on downs and two three-and-outs to negate thoughts of a comeback for St. John.

Be sure to come out this Friday to come see our ranked Panthers Compete against Richardson Berkner next Friday (Sept. 27) and help them bring home another W.
