Blood Drive

Blood+Drive

On Wednesday the Carter Blood Drive came to Duncanville High School and lots of students donated blood to the blood drive.  They were taken out of school and had to sign up and make an appointment in order to be a part of it. The students waited patiently at a designated area and continued into the process of donating blood.  They were given chips and cookies before they had to donate blood. The nurses were great with the students and after they were finished with the process, they were handed a light green t-shirt for their accomplishment.  Donating blood is important as it helps those who are in need of blood transplants and gives the patient a free check-up. In Duncanville High School, the students receive a red honor cord when they graduate as seniors if they donate blood two times.  It is a great accomplishment and the students should be proud of potentially saving another person’s life.
