Another game, Another Win for Duncanville

DUNCANVILLE – Roderick Daniels’ 79-yard punt return touchdown jump-started Duncanville (6-0, 3-0) as they defeated Lake Highlands 28-6 Friday night. Lake Highlands (3-3, 1-2) took the opening kickoff and put together a 14-play drive that resulted in a 37-yard field goal by Teaff Nickle. Duncanville’s defense forced a punt on Lake Highlands’ next possession setting up Daniels’ touchdown return and a 7-3 lead. The Duncanville defense allowed only 180 total yards, collected six sacks and kept Lake Highlands out of the end zone.
Quarterback Ja’Quinden Jackson and the Duncanville offense scored on their next two drives. After forcing another punt, Jackson scored on a 59-yard run, and, just before half, he would hit Marquelan Crowell for a 69-yard touchdown pass and a 21-6 lead. Jackson added a 7-yard touchdown run in the second half as he finished with 63 yards rushing. Lake Highlands was led by Tyson Washington with 83 rushing yards. As Duncanville continues their winning streak to 6 games on the season and remains ranked #1 in both Texas and State, We can only wait in earnest for our playoff run to begin. Richardson Pearce is the next team in Duncanville’s sights, having a 4-2 record and ranking 2nd in our division. Come out to the Richardson’s Eagle-Mustang Stadium this Friday to support our Panthers.
