It’s a race to see which book is the best in the library with the March Madness tournament. Librarian Blanca Patlan created a poll similar to the basketball tournament where students can select their favorite books in the library through the month. .

“I wanted to actually see what are the kids really reading today,” Patlan said. “I a;so wanted to bring more interest of boook to the students as well.”

Patlan said  the amount of voting is increasing everyday as they narrow the list down to the final four within a week or so.

“The students come and notice the board and want to know what is going on,” Patlan said. “I am really hoping that this will be a sucsess for us to be able to do it again.”

Patlan explained the round one ending last week and stage two will no be done until friday.

“Stage two is getting pretty heated,” Patlan said. “I was really surprised with the classic books that made it to the next round.”

For the next round to come Patlan said that it would be two disutopian  themed books.

“I actually think that Divergent and Hunger Games will be the final two books,” Patlan said. “I am though hoping for a surprise.”
